Chengli 8×4 LPG Tank Truck is a heavy duty Class II dangerous goods transport truck designed to transport liquefied petroleum gas safely in short and medium distances. Unlike standard chassis trucks that have been adapted for LPG storage, this 8x4 LPG tank truck is engineered from the start to meet all the regulations for the transport of dangerous goods.
The vehicle's 8×4 drive configuration (also known as "前四后八" or “four front and eight rear”) spread the load of the LPG tank and cargo over four axles – two front steering axles and two rear driving axles. This configuration provides for better load distribution, stability and control when fully loaded for highway and regional operations.
The unit is a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tank truck, has a rated LPG payload of 15,624 kg and dimensions of 11,220 x 2,500 x 3,800 mm. This horizontal cylindrical pressure-vessel design with rounded end sections distributes internal pressure more evenly than flat end plates which are a common design for other pressurized liquefied-gas cargo.
