Steel-lined plastic tanks (tortoise-shell lining—a three-in-one combination of steel, mesh, and plastic) represent the pinnacle of steel-plastic composite products. They consist of a steel mesh (tortoise shell) welded to the steel surface, and polyethylene, molded as a single piece using a rotational molding process (rotomolding technology). Because the steel mesh (tortoise shell) and polyethylene are integrated and welded to the steel surface, the polyethylene is difficult to detach from the steel. Therefore, it is an exceptionally corrosion-resistant product.
